  Andrew is studying his masters in Statistics. He is working on the relationship between the choice of basis function in smoothing spline estimation and its relationship with the choice of covariance structure in mixed effects models.
• James Wright
  James Wright is studying his doctoral degree in Statistics. He is focused in applying functional data analysis methods in the study of aerosol absorption and dispersion.

  Jie worked with me analyzing aerosol data using smoothing splines. She finished her undergraduate degree in Mathematics with concentration in Statistics in 2010. She is currently pursuing master studies in Statistics at the University of Chicago, Department of Statistics
