Welcome to the graduate program in Mathematical Sciences at Michigan Technological University!

The Graduate Student Handbook describes our program: degrees offered, application procedures, degree requirements, and so forth. It also contains a list of our faculty and their research interests.

  • Here is a list of our graduate course offerings
  • PhD students are required to pass the Proficiency Examination in order to continue in the PhD program. Since this examination covers undergraduate-level mathematics, prospective students may wish to check it out.
  • PhD students also must pass the Comprehensive Examination. Typically this is taken after at least two full years of graduate course work in our department.

Our departmental home page contains much more information about our department, including links to faculty web pages.
